Los Angeles Wedding
MILTON & VICTOR
Milton and Victor had their wedding at Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows in Santa Monica, CA. Our story began in the Spring of 2014. Love was in the air and it smelled like warm toasted bagels. Milton and Victor were both on an online dating app called Coffee Meets Bagel, and on that fateful May afternoon, Milton was matched with Victor as his “bagel”. Little did Victor know that Milton would be his everything bagel… Our first date was at The Standard Hotel. After a few glasses of wine, the initial nerves melted away and we discovered our mutual passion for chic boutique hotels, heirloom tomatoes and spreadsheets! Five years worth of memories later, we’ve eaten our way through San Sébastian, returned to Victor’s hometown in Brazil where Milton learned Portuguese and together learned how to bake pão de queijo, and moved into a charming little beachfront home in Santa Monica. In 2017 Victor popped the question, as we took an after dinner stroll through a beautiful quiet town in Colmar, France, and Milton said “Yes!”
“Is one of the most thoughtful, adventurous, and optimistic people I know. He always challenges me to try new things and take chances whether it’s taking a new job or going to a new place. Victor is super creative and is great in the kitchen. Despite whatever challenges get thrown his way, Victor always knows how to stay positive and keep having fun.” – Milton
“Is a forever curious person. He is constantly learning and challenging himself. He is a fearless learner and have a quiet confidence when faced with the unknown. I am in awe and filled with pride of the person who he is today and who will become. He constantly challenge us to be better and make sure I am supported. I love him and thank him. I am excited for what the future holds for us.” – Victor
was a day where all of the people that mattered most to us, our family and friends, where there. We never knew too much about the details of the wedding, such as venue, flowers, or music but we always dreamt of celebrating our love and the start of our marriage with family and friends. Our actual wedding was very much this and more! All of our family and friends came to our tropical themed wedding in Santa Monica. We first had a modern wedding ceremony and got married underneath a beautiful fig tree and then celebrated Victor’s Korean heritage with a same sex Paebaek, a traditional Korean wedding ceremony. The following reception was everything we imagined it to be. It was a night full or celebration, speeches, laughter, and dancing. We loved and savored every moment of it!
We hired Jason Rhee, our wedding planner, from the start of our wedding planning journey. We knew we wanted someone to hold our hands and guide us through the entire wedding planning process. He asked all the right questions to help plan our wedding. The day of the wedding everything went to plan and we didn’t have to worry about anything else other than celebrating with our family and friends. We highly recommend Jason!
Is to plan the big things and to not get too caught up on the small details. At the end of the day its an awesome party you’re throwing for friends and family and you want to enjoy the day versus sweating over the small details. We felt we were able to do so by selecting vendors we trusted. We loved working with all of our vendors listed below as they understood the direction and vibe we were going for and executed to the T. Thank you all!
